Wall Mount Enclosures for Rapid Installation of the Electronics

METcase has launched its new DATAMET range of aluminium wall mount enclosures to speed up installation times and make equipment servicing swift and easy.

These stylish and robust aluminium enclosures feature METcase’s new ‘total access’ design. They are open on three sides – offering complete accessibility.
 
These enclosures are designed for indoor electronic systems. Typical applications will include control units, measurement systems, medical equipment, safety and security systems, communication devices and machine controllers.

DATAMET enclosures comprise a diecast front bezel which locates on to the folded aluminium case body and rear panel. This three-part assembly allows full access to the components and wiring during assembly and maintenance.
 
The rear panel includes mounting points for PCBs and chassis, plus three fixing holes for mounting the unit to a wall or machine. The underside of the case body can be used for fixing cable glands or connectors. DATAMET cases are very easy to assemble and there are no visible fixing screws on the case body or rear panel.

Three standard sizes are offered: 250 x 180 x 116 mm (S), 350 x 250 x 116 mm (M) and 400 x 300 x 116 (L). The front bezel is painted window grey, RAL 7040 and the other parts are painted light grey, RAL 7035. The paint finish is textured polyester.

The attractive die cast front bezel has a recessed aperture for mounting an anodised aluminium front panel. The front panel can be easily adapted for membrane keypads, display modules, push-buttons, rotary controls and other components.

DATAMET enclosures can be supplied with additional holes for push-buttons, connectors and displays, plus silk-screen printed legends and logos. The cases can also be made in non-standard sizes and painted in other colors. Standard prices start at £75.
